Old Friend

We got quite a surprise when learned that Phillip, a classmate of Laura's, had moved to New Zealand with his family. They live in Palmerston North, about two hours south of us and we made hasty plans to meet them in Wanganui.

I flew us down to Wanganui, for no better reason than the weather was good enough to fly. We grabbed a cab into town and had lunch with Phillip and his family. Phillip has a lovely family and we really enjoyed catching up with them. We also had time for me to take Phillip and and his girls on a flight around Wanganui.

Going for a ride

Phillip has moved to New Zealand permanently and they have come to love the laid back lifestyle of the Kiwi. We'll miss seeing them, but on the upside, we have some friendly Alabama faces to see when we come back. We shot some photos of Hawera on our way back home.
